#1: When you integrate online patient recruitment, don't you create a bias in your clinical trial?

Yes, there is a potential for bias in clinical trials that use online patient recruitment methods. The patient population reached through online channels may not be representative of the overall patient population for a given condition, and those who choose to participate in a clinical trial through online channels may have different characteristics compared to those who are recruited through other methods. That being said, by not including patients recruited through online channels, a clinical trial may miss a specific population that would not have had access to the trial otherwise. The use of online patient recruitment methods can broaden the reach of a clinical trial and increase diversity among trial participants, which can improve the generalizability of the results.
