Subject
Test subjects, guinea pigs and volunteers are synonyms for people who volunteer to take part in clinical studies. This could encompass a variety of studies such as drug, medical, psychological and nutritional research. Test subjects could also be required for testing (medical) equipment. The ultimate aim is, with the help of test subjects, to develop (better) drugs or obtain better insights for improving products or processes.
